Throughout his service, he has also held several key positions such as, Military Resort Commander (Danrem), Inspector of Kostrad (Ir Kostrad), and Chief Expert Staff to the Army Chief of Staff (Kasahli KASAD). Apart from his military career, Musa Bangun has been actively involved in politics and organizations, having served as Deputy Chairman of the Gerindra Party and Chairman of the Pejuang Indonesia Raya (PPIR).
